We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Boulder, Colorado. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, accounting skills, and a collaborative mindset. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting audit preparations.

Job Responsibility:

Manage month-end closing activities, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
Utilize Sage Intacct to streamline accounting processes and ensure efficiency
Support audit preparation by organizing financial documents and responding to auditor requests
Assist with monthly accounting tasks to maintain compliance and operational accuracy
Maintain a relaxed and detail-focused approach to foster a positive and productive work environment
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements

Requirements:

At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role
Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Strong skills in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Familiarity with Sage Intacct software is highly desirable
Ability to assist with audit preparations and respond to auditor inquiries
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a collaborative and dynamic environment
