We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Garden City, New York. In this role, you will manage key financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes. Job Responsibility:

Oversee month-end closing procedures, ensuring all financial deadlines are met
Manage and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger
Prepare and post journal entries to reflect accurate financial data
Perform comprehensive account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy
Handle bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Utilize Sage Intacct and Excel to streamline accounting processes and produce reports
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations
Provide insights and recommendations for improving accounting practices and procedures
Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and reviews

Requirements:

Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries
Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with Sage Intacct and advanced knowledge of Excel
Background in the healthcare industry is preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
