Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Brea, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and supporting various accounting functions. This position requires a proactive and results-driven individual with a strong command of accounting principles and advanced Excel skills.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
Consolidate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making processes
Respond to audit requests and assist in preparing documentation for compliance reviews
Review and verify tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
Collaborate with accounts payable and other departments to address and resolve inquiries
Utilize advanced Excel functions, including macros, to streamline and improve reporting processes
Work closely with financial leadership to identify opportunities for operational efficiency
Ensure all financial records are maintained in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
Provide support during peak periods, staying flexible to meet deadlines and business needs

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience
Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as macros
Strong knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes
Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
Self-motivated and proactive with excellent attention to detail

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software
