We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Greenville, South Carolina. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed accounting entries, and supporting initiatives aimed at improving financial processes. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to the organization's financial stability and growth.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, review, and post various journal entries, including cash, benefits, foreign trial balances, and segment reporting, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, such as cash, accounts receivable/payable, payroll-related accounts, and elimination-related accounts, resolving variances proactively
Monitor automated cash entry processes and coordinate enhancements with management and IT teams
Manage assigned tasks on the close calendar, ensuring timely compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines
Create and maintain accounting schedules, including fixed asset and tax rollforwards for designated foreign entities
Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and take on additional responsibilities as required
Collaborate with finance teams on transformation initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and shortening the close cycle
Build strong working relationships with FP&A, AP/AR, Payroll, and Operations teams to improve cross-functional workflows and data accuracy
Support system implementation projects, such as Oracle Planning and reconciliation tools, to enhance operational efficiency
Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley 404 testing to ensure compliance with internal control standards
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4-6 years of progressive accounting experience
Big 4 experience & CPA preferred
Ability to exercise proper judgment, high attention to detail, team player/collaborative, strong business acumen, self-starter & independent thinking
Strong understanding of US GAAP
multi-national public company experience preferred
Continuous improvement mindset: Comfortable navigating change and actively contributes to refining and improving processes as the organization scales
Proficient usage of Microsoft 365 apps (Excel, Sharepoint, Copilot, Power BI, Power Query, etc.)
Hands-on experience with Oracle FCCS / Planning, or other similar automation tools preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
