Job Description:

This role involves managing complex accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will excel in month-end processes, tax compliance, and inventory management while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Manage the general ledger and prepare journal entries for various accounts
Conduct account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and cash accounts
Reconcile inventory accounts to maintain accurate records of stock levels
Review and handle monthly account reconciliations to ensure compliance with accounting standards
Calculate and prepare excise tax filings and ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
Document and maintain accounting procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy
Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors

Requirements:

A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Proven experience in accounting, particularly in month-end close and general ledger management
Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Proficiency in handling bank, credit card, cash, and inventory reconciliations
Knowledge of excise tax and sales & use tax regulations
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in financial records
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data effectively
