Job Description:

Our client—a $50M+ manufacturing and engineering company located in the South Hills—is seeking a Senior Accountant to backfill the accounting team during a major ERP implementation. This is a 5‑month contract role, with the potential to extend up to one year, providing both stability and meaningful, hands-on responsibility during a critical period for the business.

Job Responsibility:

Fully own the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee journal entries
Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve variances
Support ongoing accounting operations while the core team focuses on ERP implementation
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure continuity, accuracy, and compliance

Requirements:

Mid-level to senior accountant
Can step in quickly and operate independently
Comfortable taking full ownership of close and reporting
Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments (preferred but not required)
Values accuracy, accountability, and being a trusted resource during change
