Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. This is a contract position within the metal fabrication industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in general accounting practices and a proven ability to manage critical financial processes.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded
Prepare and post journal entries to support financial accuracy
Reconcile accounts, including bank reconciliations, to identify and resolve discrepancies
Conduct regular reviews and analyses of financial statements to support decision-making
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Utilize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to manage accounting tasks efficiently
Monitor and improve accounting processes to enhance workflow and accuracy
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports
Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

Extensive experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting
Proficiency in maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts
Strong knowledge of preparing and posting journal entries
Expertise in account reconciliation, including bank reconciliations
Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software
Ability to analyze financial data and present actionable insights
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
