Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the corporate finance department with financial, regulatory, and accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing investments, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to audits and regulatory filings.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage the company’s bond and investment portfolio, ensuring compliance and accuracy
Perform reconciliations for securities and cash accounts to maintain financial integrity
Prepare and post month-end journal entries, maintaining the general ledger with precision
Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings in adherence to industry standards
Support annual financial statement audits by providing accurate documentation and analysis
Contribute to budgeting processes by compiling data and performing financial analysis
Undertake special analytical projects to provide insights and drive informed decision-making
Ensure accounts are reconciled regularly to prevent discrepancies and maintain accuracy

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in public accounting or corporate accounting
Knowledge of financial services industry practices and regulations is essential
CPA certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred
Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
