We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Stuart, Florida. This role involves managing year-end financial activities, ensuring compliance, and supporting audit preparations for a private company with multiple business units. The position requires onsite work and offers a dynamic opportunity to utilize your expertise in accounting and software tools like QuickBooks.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct year-end financial closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple business units
Prepare and review account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records
Manage audit documentation and liaise with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes
Perform general ledger maintenance, including journal entries and adjustments
Handle bank reconciliations to ensure proper cash flow management
Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to streamline financial operations
Provide ad hoc support for various accounting projects as needed
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial procedures
Ensure adherence to industry-specific accounting standards, particularly in aerospace and private aviation

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
Proven expertise in month-end closings and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of account and bank reconciliations
Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software
Prior experience in the aerospace or private aviation industry is highly desirable
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work onsite daily and adjust hours as needed during the contract term
Strong communication and organizational abilities to manage multiple business units effectively
