Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting audits, and maintaining compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with various teams to optimize accounting processes and contribute to the company’s financial integrity.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing data from the general ledger and other departments
Collaborate with the Inventory & Cost Analyst to organize and conduct internal audits across company warehouse locations and administrative offices
Draft detailed audit reports for senior management, addressing findings and recommendations
Assist with documentation collection for quarterly and annual external audits
Record monthly journal entries, including month-end accruals, and support the financial closing processes
Participate in annual inventory counts and assist with cycle counts at company warehouses
Prepare corporate state sales and use tax returns and ensure timely submission of government reports
Research and resolve discrepancies in accounts while providing accounting support to operational and sales teams
Develop and implement improved accounting procedures by analyzing current practices and suggesting enhancements
Manage general ledger reconciliations, intercompany invoices, payroll journal entries, and fixed asset records

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum of three years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
Proficiency in month-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Experience with bank reconciliations and familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of tax reporting and compliance requirements

Nice to have:

Certification such as CPA or similar is a plus
