Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while supporting key accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting background and a commitment to process improvement.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities to ensure precise financial reporting
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to maintain timely and accurate reporting
Manage balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions, ensuring proper reconciliation
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
Provide support during external audits by compiling schedules, delivering documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries
Evaluate internal controls, identify areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements to accounting processes
Guide less experienced accounting staff by offering direction and sharing best practices to foster growth
Collaborate on special projects, including system implementations and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and workflow

Requirements:

Proven experience in account reconciliation and balance sheet management
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Sage Intacct
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements at the federal, state, and local levels
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
