We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience to join our client's team in Wichita, Kansas. This role is integral to ensuring accurate financial records and reporting for multiple stakeholders, requiring a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage diverse responsibilities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a proactive attitude toward maintaining financial integrity. The perfect candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP, multi-entity experience, and the willingness to jump on and help the team where needed. Job Responsibility:

Prepare and maintain consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Conduct monthly reconciliations and work closely with external auditors to facilitate annual audits
Manage financial records for assigned properties or development projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Utilize accounting systems and tools to monitor expenditures, revenue, and cash flow effectively
Oversee tenant invoicing processes, verify data entries, and ensure accuracy in the general ledger
Review and manage business transactions, including leases, invoices, and receipts, for proper documentation and data entry
Analyze financial data to create ad hoc reports, highlighting key metrics such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and profit and loss
Supervise administrative tasks related to billing, budgeting, fixed asset accounting, and expenses as needed
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance efficiency
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to address financial inquiries and support organizational goals

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including ownership of the month-end close process
Proven track record of handling complex accounting tasks in private industry or corporate settings
Familiarity with accounting in multi-entity companies or commercial real estate is highly preferred
Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions for data analysis and reporting
Strong knowledge of accounting systems, with the ability to resolve reporting errors and track anomalies
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration and reporting purposes
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory with extensive experience
