Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a manufacturing company in Sparks, Nevada. This contract-to-permanent position requires a detail-oriented individual who is adept at managing financial processes and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cost accounting, general ledger activities, and fixed asset accounting within the manufacturing sector.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and oversee the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Handle all general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments
Conduct fixed asset accounting, including tracking, depreciation, and reporting
Perform cost accounting tasks to analyze and control manufacturing costs effectively
Reconcile bank accounts and other key financial accounts to maintain accurate records
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and operational efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives through financial analysis
Maintain detailed and organized documentation for audits and internal reviews

Requirements:

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry
Proven expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices
Experience with fixed asset accounting, including depreciation methods
Proficiency in account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with manufacturing industry financial requirements
Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
