We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Columbus, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting month-end close processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your accounting expertise and contribute to the success of a dynamic organization.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and execute month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with accounting standards
Prepare and post journal entries, including adjustments and accruals, to reflect accurate financial data
Reconcile accounts and bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting procedures and improve efficiency
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all accounting operations
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting functions

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role
Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and maintaining general ledger accounts
Strong knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
Experience with accounts receivable operations, including invoicing and collections
Advanced understanding of accounting principles and practices
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data effectively
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
