Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Lincoln, Rhode Island on a contract basis. This role requires a strong understanding of financial management practices, including corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting budgeting, forecasting, and accounting operations.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and journal entries
prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
perform account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reviewing reports and ensuring deadlines are met
research and resolve technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
manage and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
collaborate on budget and forecast preparation to align with organizational goals
utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to streamline operations and reporting
provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and reporting
maintain detailed documentation and records for audits and compliance.

Requirements:

Proven experience in corporate accounting and financial management
proficiency in account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
strong knowledge of general ledger operations and journal entry preparation
expertise in month-end and year-end close processes
advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
