Job Description:

Senior Accountant role in a multi-location retail organization in growth mode. Position is a blend of high-volume operational accounting and strategic growth with a defined path to Controller role within the year. Interactive, fast-paced position working directly with Owners, Controller, and Store Managers.

Job Responsibility:

Gatekeeper of the General Ledger including coding, posting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
Supervisory Accounts Payable function
Ownership of payroll process for ~180 employees using ADP Workforce Now
Handle ad-hoc requests from owners
Assist with cash management and reconciling daily cash deposits
Process improvement and maintaining systematic filing system

Requirements:

Strong background in full-cycle accounting
CPA (or international equivalent) highly preferred
Proficiency in QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now
Comfortable with Excel and Google Sheets
Organized, efficient, and looking for a long-term home
Unflappable personality
Ability to handle multiple priorities and ad-hoc requests
System for tracking 30-40 small daily tasks
