Patricia Wesson with Robert Half is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Lake Oswego, Oregon. This role requires someone who can manage complex financial tasks, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide accurate reporting to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain precise and organized financial records for multiple organizations
Manage accounts receivable by preparing invoices, processing payments, and following up on overdue balances
Handle accounts payable processes, including preparing and paying bills on time while leveraging early payment discounts
Collaborate with payroll services to ensure timely and accurate processing of staff payroll
Generate comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and accounts receivable summaries
Assist with tax preparation and compliance for various state and local taxes, including corporate activities tax and sales tax
Input and maintain customer and project data within the accounting system
Administer employee benefits and maintain compliance with employment regulations
Update and manage the employee directory and internal schedules as per company policies
Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in all financial and personnel matters

Requirements:

At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience
a degree in accounting is preferred
Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro and familiarity with financial reporting principles
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to learn and adapt to various technology tools to enhance project management and communication
Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and automate routine processes
Effective communication skills to present financial information clearly to stakeholders
Capability to simplify complex financial concepts and build relationships with team members and external parties
