We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in West Palm Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in accounting practices and demonstrate a proven ability to manage diverse financial responsibilities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to key areas such as compliance, reporting, and portfolio management.

Job Responsibility:

Handle accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes efficiently and accurately
Manage loan portfolios and oversee treasury operations to ensure financial stability
Administer investment portfolios and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements
Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records
Support quarterly reporting efforts and assist in preparing presentations for board meetings
Execute month-end closings, including journal entries and general ledger adjustments
Complete account reconciliations and ensure financial data integrity
Address ad hoc financial requests and provide analytical support as needed
Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks and maintain proficiency in its features
Apply non-profit accounting knowledge to meet the unique needs of the organization

Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management
Proficiency in performing month-end close processes and handling general ledger tasks
Strong expertise in journal entries and account reconciliations
Demonstrated ability to execute bank reconciliations with precision
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is highly desirable
Experience in non-profit accounting is preferred
Solid understanding of compliance reporting and regulatory requirements
Ability to manage investment and loan portfolios effectively
