The Senior Accountant is a key member of the finance team, responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires strong technical expertise in accounting practices, attention to detail, and proven experience with general ledger management, month-end close, and financial analysis.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entries
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP or applicable standards
Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights to optimize financial performance
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and other stakeholders
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in finance-related projects
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
CPA or equivalent certification preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards
Proficient in relevant financial software and systems (e.g., ERP, Excel)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple deadlines
A minimum of 4 years of detailed accounting experience, preferably in a senior role
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and formulas
Familiarity with two or more ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics
Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and general ledger management
Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliations and journal entries accurately
Excellent analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Effective communication and organizational abilities to collaborate across teams
Commitment to maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
