Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Bedford, Texas. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while contributing to the preparation and analysis of key financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and have the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with various teams within the organization.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain the accuracy of accounting records by verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions with precision
Prepare and record entries related to assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses by analyzing detailed account information
Reconcile subsidiary accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure balanced and accurate financial records
Create and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports
Manage schedules for balance sheet accounts and make necessary monthly adjusting journal entries
Conduct variance analyses for monthly financial statements to identify and explain fluctuations
Collaborate across departments to ensure proper presentation and accounting of all financial items
Safeguard confidentiality while performing accounting duties and uphold company values
Take the initiative as a self-starter to address tasks independently and efficiently
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the accounting function

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
Minimum of 3-4 years of full-cycle or public accounting experience with proven best practices
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong analytical and communication skills to address complex financial issues
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Keen attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of broader financial objectives

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred
Preferred qualifications include a graduate degree in Accounting, audit experience at a regional or national firm, and an active accounting license
