Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Accountant to play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. As the Senior Accountant, you will oversee the general ledger system, assist with preparing accruals, support tax compliance, prepare annual tax filings, complete bank reconciliations, draft financial reports, coordinate the month end/year end close prepare data for monthly journal entries, assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliation, perform account reconciliations, assist with the annual audit process, maintain financial records, and perform financial analysis as needed. The successful candidate for this role will have sharp analytical skills, excellent time management abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts payable operations, including vendor account reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Partner with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to assist with budget development, analyze financial performance against plan, and contribute to forecasting efforts
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including cash and bank accounts, and promptly investigate and clear outstanding variances
Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, and resolve discrepancies efficiently
Monitor corporate credit card activity to ensure proper expense coding, supporting documentation, and compliance with company policies
Coordinate the preparation and issuance of required annual tax documentation (e.g., vendor tax forms) in compliance with regulatory requirements
Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards in all accounting activities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
CPA a Plus
Must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills
QuickBooks and/or SAP preferred
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
