We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will excel at managing complex financial operations, analyzing data, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. Job Responsibility

  • Perform month-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries ranging from basic to complex
  • Conduct thorough analysis of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
  • Analyze monthly financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights through detailed reporting
  • Compile financial data and prepare combined monthly financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Participate in monthly financial review meetings to discuss results and address any discrepancies
  • Provide guidance to finance staff on proper internal and external accounting practices
  • Evaluate and document the accounting implications of potential transactions, offering well-informed conclusions
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls by executing related responsibilities precisely and on schedule
  • Support the development and application of financial policies to enhance accuracy and accountability

Requirements

  • Proven experience in month-end close processes and journal entry preparation
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger account analysis and reconciliation
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and communicate findings effectively
  • Experience preparing financial statements and comprehensive financial reports
  • Familiarity with internal control procedures and their implementation
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills for financial analysis
  • Ability to guide and support other finance team members in accounting practices
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial tasks
