We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will excel at managing complex financial operations, analyzing data, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. This role is an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic services environment while sharpening your expertise in accounting and financial analysis.

Job Responsibility:

Perform month-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries ranging from basic to complex
Conduct thorough analysis of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
Analyze monthly financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights through detailed reporting
Compile financial data and prepare combined monthly financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Participate in monthly financial review meetings to discuss results and address any discrepancies
Provide guidance to finance staff on proper internal and external accounting practices
Evaluate and document the accounting implications of potential transactions, offering well-informed conclusions
Ensure compliance with internal controls by executing related responsibilities precisely and on schedule
Support the development and application of financial policies to enhance accuracy and accountability

Requirements:

Proven experience in month-end close processes and journal entry preparation
Strong knowledge of general ledger account analysis and reconciliation
Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and communicate findings effectively
Experience preparing financial statements and comprehensive financial reports
Familiarity with internal control procedures and their implementation
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills for financial analysis
Ability to guide and support other finance team members in accounting practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial tasks
