Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with 5–7+ years of accounting experience to join a growing team in Long Beach. The ideal candidate will have a background in the manufacturing or consumer products industry, strong experience with month-end close, and hands-on experience with Oracle ERP. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting core accounting functions, including fixed assets, accruals, and general ledger activities.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and support the month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications
Maintain and manage fixed asset schedules, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation
Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis to support financial reporting
Ensure accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounting
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and financial accuracy
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5–7+ years of accounting experience
Experience in the manufacturing or consumer products industry
Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP
Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger processes
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice to have:

CPA or CPA-track a plus
Experience with inventory or cost accounting
Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume accounting environment
