We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Irving, Texas on a contract basis. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting expertise and analytical abilities to ensure compliance and accuracy across financial accounts. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in reviewing and classifying general ledger accounts, supporting audit readiness, and providing insightful recommendations to optimize financial processes.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct detailed reviews of general ledger accounts to ensure accurate classification and compliance
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records
Perform month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accuracy across financial statements
Handle bank reconciliations and ensure proper documentation of transactions
Support audit readiness by gathering necessary data and addressing requests
Analyze financial components to identify areas for improvement and make actionable recommendations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency
Maintain comprehensive documentation of accounting activities for future reference and audits
Provide expertise in areas such as 350, 360, and 820 to address specific accounting needs

Requirements:

Proven experience in general ledger analysis and month-end close processes
Strong proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Familiarity with audit readiness practices and supporting documentation requirements
Solid analytical skills to identify and recommend improvements in financial processes
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and compliance standards
Experience with accounting components such as 350, 360, and 820
