Senior Accountant

• Prepare detailed monthly reports on sales and payment activity to ensure accurate revenue recognition during month-end close
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the sales and service teams to maintain financial accuracy
• Monitor carrier bank accounts and reconcile them against payment gateway transactions, initiating bank transfers as needed
• Process month-end journal entries and create precise balance sheet reconciliations to meet established deadlines
• Compile and deliver external reporting files for insurance carriers and partners, addressing any issues to ensure compliance
• Conduct financial testing to support the onboarding process for new carriers and business partners
• Assist in developing and implementing financial controls to accommodate business growth and maintain operational integrity
• Provide ad hoc financial support and analysis as requested by senior leadership, including the VP of Finance, Controller, or Finance Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1-3 years of transactional accounting experience, particularly in revenue accounting or accounts receivable
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to utilize advanced features effectively
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of numerical aptitude
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Organized and detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving results
• Experience with Stripe, Looker, and SAP ByDesign is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and partners
