Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with established accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to month-end close activities and other essential accounting operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and execute month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded
  • Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts and transactions
  • Perform thorough account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and maintain accuracy
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any outstanding issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies
  • Analyze financial data and reports to support decision-making processes
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and information
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and reconciliation
