Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting audits. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, technical skills, and expertise in financial systems.

Job Responsibility:

Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and resolve discrepancies
Support audit processes by providing documentation and resolving queries
Utilize NetSuite and Coupa for financial operations and reporting
Analyze subledger data to ensure proper alignment with the general ledger
Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed for accurate financial reporting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Requirements:

Proven experience in month-end close, general ledger management, and financial reporting
Expertise in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
Strong proficiency in bank reconciliations and audit support
Familiarity with NetSuite and Coupa systems, with the ability to navigate and utilize them effectively
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Knowledge of subledger processes and their integration with the general ledger
Ability to create and post adjusting journal entries with accuracy
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
