Senior Accountant

• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with organizational standards
• Provide timely and detailed financial data to support management decision-making
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and account tracking, especially for prepaid and accrual accounts
• Maintain and update fixed asset schedules, including tracking depreciation and reconciling subsidiary ledgers with general ledger accounts
• Oversee the tracking and capitalization of construction-in-progress assets
• Review and validate travel and purchasing card expenses, ensuring proper documentation and appropriate account posting
• Calculate and accrue sales and use taxes as needed, and compile monthly sales tax reports
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and assist with AR/AP functions as required
• Support payroll processing and assist with internal and external audits
• Collaborate with the Controller to address routine financial issues and develop improved processes

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of financial processes
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management
• Hands-on experience with month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliation
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Epicor, is highly desirable
• Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations, including accrual processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
