Job Description:

Senior Accountant role in a Top 30 accountancy firm based in the City of London, joining the growing Business Services team. You will manage a varied portfolio of corporate and not-for-profit clients, delivering high-quality accounting and cloud advisory services while supporting and developing junior team members.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and deliver accounting assignments from planning through to completion
Review statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns
Implement and advise on cloud accounting solutions (Xero, QuickBooks)
Supervise, review, and support junior team members, including training delivery
Prepare and review working papers and client-ready outputs
Identify improvements to clients' systems, processes, and controls
Monitor budgets and deadlines, escalating issues where required
Manage a varied portfolio of corporate and not-for-profit clients, delivering high-quality accounting and cloud advisory services

Requirements:

ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Minimum of 4 years' experience within a prominent UK based accountancy practice at a Senior level
Strong experience reviewing accounts and VAT returns for corporate clients
Confident client-facing professional with excellent communication skills
Experience supporting and developing junior staff
Knowledge of UK GAAP, particularly FRS 102 (1A)
Interest in cloud accounting and business development/networking
