Senior Accountant

• Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring all transactions related to neighborhood and lot construction are accurately recorded and analyzed
• Collaborate with finance teams and divisions to review neighborhood budgets and actual costs, ensuring proper allocation to individual lots
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger and subsidiary accounts to maintain accuracy and appropriate classification
• Conduct audits of accounts payable invoices to verify accuracy and compliance
• Support year-end audits and quarterly reviews by preparing necessary documentation and analyses
• Monitor, calculate, and record cost allocations and accruals to uphold financial integrity
• Assist in developing and updating policies, procedures, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliation
• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
• Familiarity with auditing practices and compliance standards
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred
