Job Description

This role involves overseeing full-cycle accounting operations, maintaining financial records, and analyzing balance sheet and income statement accounts. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in fixed asset accounting, general ledger management, and financial reporting, while contributing to process improvements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Analyze and review balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor and maintain financial systems, controls, and processes to align with accounting standards
  • Prepare and reconcile fixed asset subledger accounts and oversee fixed asset budgeting and inventory processes
  • Lead fixed asset counts and communicate results effectively to relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure accurate reporting of additions and disposals of fixed assets for insurance purposes
  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and annual disclosures
  • Develop and enforce accounting processes and improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Prepare property tax renditions and manage lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842
  • Provide support for sales tax reporting, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet account management

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, including month-end close processes and general ledger management
  • Proficiency in journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
  • Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and inventory tracking
  • Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting standards and property tax reporting
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
  • Experience with Syteline ERP or similar accounting systems
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide detailed explanations of transactions
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate across teams and manage deadlines effectively
