The Senior Accountant ensures accurate and timely financial reporting by maintaining up-to-date financial records in accordance with accepted accounting principles and company policies.
Job Responsibility:
Complete assigned month-end closing activities to ensure Business Day 4 (BD4) close and timely submission of financial results to Headquarters
Prepare, review, and post accurate and timely general journal entries
Calculate and record month-end provisions within areas of responsibility
Ensure alignment and reconciliation between SAP and Power BI reporting systems
Prepare and maintain accurate financial and business transaction records
Review and investigate discrepancies between invoices and planned purchase costs
Identify reasons for variances and prepare appropriate cost allocations
Ensure accurate accounting related to company purchases
Monitor and control business credit card expense reporting and accounting
Perform monthly cash reconciliations (local and foreign currency)
Prepare and review bank reconciliations
Review and verify payment documentation in accordance with payment day procedures
Prepare and submit required statutory filings to state and federal authorities
Manage local tax filings and compliance requirements
Review annual corporate tax filings
Ensure accounting methods, policies, and procedures comply with applicable regulations and company standards
Maintain accurate and organized accounting files and documentation
Provide support during external audits
Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with accounting principles
Recommend and implement improvements to accounting systems and procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
CPA license preferred
Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred, including: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Complex formulas, Dynamic spreadsheets and data analysis
