Job Responsibility:
Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations for multiple affiliated entities, including construction development projects and other business units
Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and financial data integrity
Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, offering insights to support leadership decisions
Monitor financial performance and highlight trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments, contract billing, and project‑related transactions
Perform bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end closing activities
Ensure proper job costing and allocation of expenses across construction projects
Work closely with project managers, development teams, and operations staff to maintain accurate cost tracking, project budgets, and reporting
Provide financial guidance related to project progress, expenditures, and profitability
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate accounting policies
Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and support to external CPA partners
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance reporting efficiencies, and implement best practices
Requirements:
Proven experience with month-end close processes and managing multiple entities
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entries
Proficiency in account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with reviewing and reconciling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) ledgers
Experience ensuring timely filing of sales taxes with relevant authorities
Advanced understanding of financial reporting and compliance with GAAP
Ability to analyze complex financial data and deliver actionable insights
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
