Robert Half is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support our client with critical end-of-year accounting activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to make an immediate impact in a dynamic environment. This position is located onsite in Oakland, CA. The duration is anticipated to last approximately 2 months with the potential to become a long-term opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation
Analyze variances and resolve discrepancies promptly
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards

Requirements:

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior level role
Strong knowledge of GAAP and end-of-year close procedures
Proficiency in Excel and major accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
