Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in general ledger management, month-end close processes, and account reconciliation.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and review journal entries in compliance with accounting standards
Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Perform detailed bank reconciliations and investigate any variances
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data
Analyze financial records and provide insights for process improvements
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support
Generate financial reports and summaries for review by management

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on month-end close processes
Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries
Expertise in account reconciliation and bank reconciliations
Proficiency in accounting software and tools
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements
Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams
