Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in managing financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including payment processing and expense tracking
Handle month-end closing activities such as journal entries and schedule execution
Set up new projects with appropriate cost coding and maintain job cost records
Monitor and analyze project expenses and revenues, providing detailed reports
Record and maintain annual contracts and lease agreements accurately in accounting software
Reconcile accounts and ensure consistency in financial reporting
Collaborate with management to provide insights and support for various accounting projects and analyses
Perform bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity
Ensure general ledger accounts are properly recorded and updated

Requirements:

Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting
Expertise in general ledger management and account reconciliation
Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation and execution
Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Proficiency in tracking and analyzing project costs and revenues
Skilled in using accounting software to manage contracts and leases
Ability to perform detailed bank reconciliations accurately
