Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Toledo, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to work onsite in a collaborative and family-oriented environment, where your expertise will help shape the financial processes and contribute to the company's growth.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee profit and loss statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
Manage lease-related tasks, including tracking expirations, cost allocations, and tenant billing
Monitor community maintenance charges and utility expenses, providing detailed invoicing to tenants
Track historic tax credits, maintaining compliance and detailed records
Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
Handle journal entries and general ledger maintenance with precision
Conduct month-end closings and prepare financial reports
Utilize Yardi Breeze software for accounting tasks and reporting
Collaborate with an Accounting Administrator to improve financial processes and efficiency
Identify and implement improvements to existing accounting procedures

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
At least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience
Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and account reconciliations
Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting
Familiarity with Yardi or similar accounting software
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to guide and collaborate with others
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and process improvement

Nice to have:

Experience in real estate or construction accounting is highly preferred
