Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Miami, Florida. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the International Accounting team, focusing on lease accounting and financial reporting. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of International Accounting, the role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical accounting skills.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles
Manage month-end close processes and contribute to timely financial reporting
Analyze and interpret lease agreements to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
Perform lease accounting duties in line with applicable standards
Maintain accurate financial data within accounting systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms
Reconcile accounts and ensure alignment with general ledger
Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
Collaborate with internal teams to support accounting initiatives and reporting requirements
Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial processes

Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and detail
Proven expertise in lease accounting, including compliance with relevant standards
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Hands-on experience with accounting software such as NetSuite or Hyperion is preferred
Ability to interpret and apply lease agreements effectively
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
Proficiency in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation
Excellent organizational and communication skills
