Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for general ledger accounting; including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheets and income statement accounts and bank reconciliations. The Senior Accountant will also prepare tax workpapers and assist with the annual tax return filing process.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare journal entries and assist with maintenance of general ledgers
  • Process account receivables and account payables
  • Process capital calls and distributions
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements and quarterly reports
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Prepare tax workpapers (i.e. fiduciary, partnership, S-Corps., etc.) and assist with the annual tax return filing process
  • Prepare schedules and provide support for external audits
  • Assist with special projects assigned by management
  • Collaborate with accounting team to meet company objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Two to four years of experience in an accounting position
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • Knowledge of major accounting software packages for general ledger accounting
  • Experience with Allvue / Microsoft Dynamics preferred
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Sharepoint
  • Demonstrates the highest ethical and professional standards
