Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. This position offers an opportunity to support essential accounting operations in a dynamic healthcare environment during a time of organizational transition. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can ensure smooth financial processes while collaborating with leadership and other departments.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and execute monthly financial close activities, including preparing schedules and meeting deadlines
Create and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
Conduct bank reconciliations and analyze discrepancies to resolve variances efficiently
Manage intercompany accounting tasks across multiple entities within the organization
Provide assistance with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
Collaborate with payroll accounting processes, ensuring accurate implementation and reporting
Partner closely with the Director of Accounting Operations to maintain continuity and structure during leadership transitions
Identify and address areas for improvement within financial processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to support accounting operations and provide timely updates

Requirements:

Proficient in NetSuite with hands-on experience
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at the Senior Accountant level
Extensive knowledge of month-end close procedures, reconciliations, and journal entries
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks independently and adhere to strict deadlines
Strong analytical skills to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting
Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for accounting and reporting purposes

Nice to have:

Preferred experience in healthcare or residential care settings
Familiarity with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions
