We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Springfield, Vermont. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, managing critical accounting processes and ensuring financial accuracy. The role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in financial reporting and reconciliation who thrive in a collaborative setting.

Job Responsibility:

Perform month-end closing activities, ensuring all financial records are accurately updated and finalized
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring the integrity of all financial data
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions and balances
Handle bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank statements and company records
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning and decision-making
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for business improvement
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial processes
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies
Prepare financial reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role
Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation
Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting practices
Advanced skills in accounting software and financial tools
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities
Strong communication and organizational skills for effective collaboration
