Job Description:

Mid-sized supplier in Hershey, PA is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting functions, month-end close activities, and financial reporting.

Job Responsibility:

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Review general ledger activity and ensure accuracy in compliance with GAAP
Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide insights to management
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing schedules and reviewing actuals vs. plan
Collaborate with internal departments (AP, AR, Operations, HR, etc.) to ensure accurate financial data and timely reporting
Assist with audits, both internal and external, by preparing documentation and supporting schedules
Drive process improvements to strengthen internal controls and enhance efficiency

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CPA-track preferred
4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, D365, NetSuite, Oracle JDE, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to interpret large sets of financial data
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
