We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Chesterfield, Missouri. The ideal candidate will play a key role in handling financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical accounting operations in a dynamic and detail-oriented environment.

Job Responsibility:

Manage month-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Maintain and oversee general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles
Prepare and post journal entries, supporting the integrity of financial records
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial data
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and financial institutions
Analyze financial statements and reports, identifying trends and variances
Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and compliance requirements
Review and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Provide support in preparing documentation for external audits and reviews
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities as required

Requirements:

Proven experience in month-end closing processes and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting principles
Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records
Expertise in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies
Experience conducting bank reconciliations with attention to detail
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools
