Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Irving, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital accounting tasks during a high-demand period, including audits, month-end close procedures, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience in accounting operations and be ready to make an immediate impact without requiring extensive onboarding. This is a 2-month contract position.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and execute month-end close processes with precision and timeliness
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Conduct detailed bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
Manage job costing operations, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
Collaborate with auditors and internal teams to support audit activities
Generate liquidity reports and address urgent financial deliverables
Provide critical support to leadership by alleviating workload during peak periods
Partner with the Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines are met efficiently

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with recent hands-on involvement
Proficiency in Sage 100, with practical experience in job costing
Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliation
Strong ability to work independently in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
Experience in supporting audits and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Must have recent SAGE + job costing experience
Must have job costing experience
Must have SAGE 100 experience (any version is acceptable)
