Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with expertise in financial reporting and accounting processes. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing results, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in adherence to accounting standards
Execute month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Investigate and resolve balance sheet discrepancies to ensure accuracy
Analyze financial performance and provide detailed explanations to management
Assist in creating budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses to support strategic planning
Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and industry regulations
Collaborate with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory bodies to complete compliance tasks
Guide and mentor entry-level accounting staff to enhance team performance
Identify opportunities for process improvements and streamline accounting workflows
Partner with various departments to ensure accurate revenue recognition and expense reporting

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Strong proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
Solid understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements
Ability to analyze financial data and present insights to management
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
Familiarity with internal controls and regulatory standards
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Proven ability to mentor and guide entry-level staff in accounting practices
