Job Description:

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting team, responsible for performing and overseeing a variety of complex accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and providing valuable support to the financial operations of the company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial reports
  • develop and maintain financial reporting schedules and workpapers
  • assist in the preparation of SEC filings, if applicable
  • maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
  • review and analyze account balances and resolve discrepancies
  • ensure the timely and accurate closing of the books
  • perform complex account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany accounts
  • assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • maintain the fixed asset ledger, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations
  • manage inventory accounting, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, and cycle counts
  • identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures
  • supervise or mentor junior accounting staff, as assigned
  • perform other accounting or finance-related tasks and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • minimum of [3-5] years of progressive accounting experience
  • strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced level)
  • experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks)
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
  • strong work ethic and dependability
