Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This is a long-term contract position that requires someone with strong attention to detail, leadership, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will handle complex account reconciliations and oversee financial processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise a team consisting of one supervisor and two senior accountants to ensure smooth operations
Manage multiple client trust accounts across various states and reconcile their balances accurately
Investigate and document root causes of discrepancies, proposing actionable solutions to improve processes
Develop and implement procedures to track and mitigate potential losses at a case level
Ensure compliance with tight deadlines by organizing workflows and delivering timely results
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement software or process changes for enhanced reconciliation
Utilize Excel to perform detailed account reconciliations and support month-end close activities
Provide comprehensive proposals for improving reconciliation methods and tracking systems
Maintain high levels of urgency and organization to address dynamic financial challenges
Communicate effectively across teams to ensure clarity and alignment in financial operations

Requirements:

Proven experience in account reconciliation, including handling complex bank reconciliations
Strong expertise in general ledger management and journal entries
Solid Excel skills for data analysis and financial reporting
Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise teams effectively
Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage priorities and deadlines
Ability to propose and implement solutions for financial discrepancies and procedural enhancements
High sense of urgency and attention to detail in managing financial operations

Nice to have:

Knowledge of the legal industry and client trust accounts is preferred
