Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity to support core accounting operations and financial reporting. This role offers an excellent chance to contribute your expertise in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and prepare complex journal entries and manage aspects of the month-end/quarter-end close process
Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts and analyze fluctuations
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Support audit processes by preparing workpapers and providing documentation
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the team

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
CPA or advanced degree preferred
3+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
