Senior Accountant

• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved promptly
• Conduct detailed balance sheet account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
• Manage the preparation and filing of sales tax returns in compliance with local and state regulations
• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all entries are accurate and deadlines are met
• Generate and analyze financial statements, providing insights to support decision-making
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and enhance efficiency
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all financial activities
• Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Monitor and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Train and mentor entry-level accounting staff, fostering growth and development

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related financial roles
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis
• Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and reporting
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close procedures
• Advanced skills in financial statement preparation and analysis
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CPA candidate a plus
