We’re partnering with a manufacturing company in St. Helens seeking a Senior Accountant on a contract-to-hire basis. This role supports full-cycle accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting, with strong visibility to operations. If you live in Scappoose, St. Helens, NW Portland or Longview, this position is within commuting distance!

Job Responsibility:

Lead month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Maintain general ledger and fixed assets, ensuring accuracy across financials
Support cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory (RM, WIP, FG)
Partner with plant leadership on production costs, efficiency, and margin drivers
Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze variances vs. budget and forecast
Assist with audits, compliance, and strengthening internal controls
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure tracking

Requirements:

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing industry experience
Strong experience with month-end close and cost accounting
Ability to partner cross-functionally with operations
